Why the Ice Queen is Irrelevant...

Now, I'm not defending Ms. Coulter. However, she is a Media Whore, afterall. These people thrive on media attention(eg. Paris Hilton, Rosie O'Donnel); controversy is the only thing that gets them into the headlines.I would comment on Coulter's morbid obsession with John Edwards, but the networks are already doing a decent job. We can have a debate about how Coulter's brand of hate politics is shaping the tone of the 2008 Election, but she is not a credible journalist, she is a noisemaker, one that is in her own world. Conservatives who embrace her rhetoric are like liberals who consider Rosie O'Donnel as their standard bearer.

The more we publicly bash Coulter, the more curious we become of her work, and the more power to her.I'm not saying we not let her speak her mind(Elizabeth Edwards didn't....*good fundraising tactic*....kind of....), but let's not tag every one of her comments as an RNC talking point. Not all Republicans think Edwards uses his dead son to raise money, or that 9/11 widows are glad that their husbands are dead, or that "faggot" is acceptable to describe John Edwards, or want to have sex with John Edwards. Just like how not all liberals are athiestic, baby-killing sodomites who want to tax us back into the Stone Age. Republicans have done the same with Democrats in regards to linking Michael Moore and Hollywood with the Democratic Party.Americans are tired of the Left vs. Right debate; they are looking for issues that our leaders can solve in a bipartisan way. Washington is becoming a very ugly, bitter, and divisive place. The more we listen to the pundits, the farther we are from the middle-ground.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is: READ THE UNFILTERED NEWS FOR YOURSELF. Air America, KSFO, Rush, Keith Oberman, Stewart, Colbert, are made for satire... and I think Ann Coulter was too.
